The surrounding lakes
Located at an altitude of 850 m, Lac d’Aydat is the largest natural regional lake in Auvergne, with a surface area of 65 hectares and a maximum depth of 15 m. Lac d’Aydat has its own beach. Swimming is supervised every day in July and August. Outside these periods, swimming is unsupervised. You can also have fun at the Lac de Chambon water sports centre, where swimming is forbidden, but there’s plenty of room for water sports activities!
